A Huge Thank YOU!
From the Silver Valley Community Resource Center
The Silver Valley Community Resource Center (SVCRC) would like to express its thanks to members of the community for taking the time to join us on September 19 for our Health Fair.
We met new friends and connected with some old ones in our effort to educate the community about Lead Screening, Nutrition, and their importance, especially for children.
Held on September 19, the focus of this event was * Lead Free Kids! They Run Better Unleaded! * There were opportunities for Family Education (movies, displays, handouts); Learning how to reduce pathways of exposure (handouts and free lead kits); and Lead screening options.
We also would like to express our thanks to AmericanWest Bank in Kellogg for donating books and AVISTA for use of their community room.
Sponsors included Clearcorps/Idaho, Superfund Basic Research Program at the University of Washington, Even Start, Creating Health Institute, and the University of Idaho Department of Agriculture.
